Statement of Intent
My art generally finds itself rooted in the rural environment in which I currently reside. In each piece, I hope to relay my impressions of the farm and ranch landscape, the archaeological richness of the area, and the sociological impact, on myself and other women, of a rural versus an urban lifestyle in the 21st Century.
For this particular venue at Arborena Gallery, I have stepped outside these parameters, opting to take my cues from nature herself, building on that theme in both my female and arboreous images.
