As the founder of Arborena, Rena Wilson has created a dynamic space to showcase her art as well as artists she hand selects. Rena conceived of her recycled tree art after riding her horses through the woods. She found beauty in the dead juniper, sage and pinion trees that lay on her Mancos property and wanted a way to bring them back life. Rena is inspired by natural materials and says: “The vision that comes from them is endless”.

Rena has spent the past 20 years working as an interior designer and found herself seeking other avenues of expression. Her diverse background in art direction, photographic styling, clay sculpture, stained glass and interior design lend itself to her continued life-long devotion to artistic expression.
